A large kangaroo lives a peaceful, but solitary life on the island in the middle of the eastern wildlife pond. A giant osprey nest has been built in the large gum tree at the SE end of the property, and another is located on a power pole at the NW corner. There is abundant bird life with pelicans, ibis, spoonbills, honey eaters, magpies, butcher birds, ospreys, wedge-tailed eagles, sea eagles and a variety of other birds. A large goanna and ring-tail possum live in the garden, with the possum competing with the magpies and bandicoots for the passion fruit which fall off the vine.
